How to Plan Event Coverage with Creators

Trendins Co Team · October 18, 2026

Inviting creators to an event is more than sending an invitation. With good planning, event coverage can produce authentic content before, during and after the day.

Before the event

Share the key details with creators early: date, location, schedule, dress code, hashtags and any brand messages. Ask what they need to create good content, such as access to certain areas or time with speakers.

Plan moments worth sharing

Think about the spaces and experiences that will look and feel good on camera: product displays, behind-the-scenes access, activities or performances. Good lighting and sound help a lot.

During the event

Assign a contact person for creators. Give them time to create content without rushing, and respect their creative approach.

After the event

Agree on when content will be published and whether the brand can reshare it. Collect the content and links in one place for reporting.

Respect guests' privacy

Remind creators to be mindful of attendees who may not want to appear on camera.

Disclosure

If creators are compensated or receive products, they should disclose the relationship according to platform rules.
